Meet the Juror

Jeremy Noonan is a visual artist, textile designer, and educator whose creative practice spans more than 25 years. He has collaborated with national and international companies on the development of commercial products and has exhibited his artwork nationally.

He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Cranbrook Academy of Art. His creative practice and research explore identity, material histories, and the intersections of digital technologies and traditional craft processes. He is currently Professor and Head of Fiber and Textiles in the Department of Studio Art and Craft at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan.

As juror for Unwritten Rules: Abstract Art Show, Jeremy brings the perspective of both a practicing artist and educator, with an emphasis on thoughtful engagement with material, process, concept, and individual approaches to abstraction. 

Jeremy will select the final pieces for the exhibition and present a best of show award during the opening reception.
